I love how setting up systems is really just an easy, organized way to structure the habits that we want to have in our lives. My systems include filling up my 32 ounce water bottle twice a day, organizing the week’s agenda on Sunday, meal planning, and wearing a simple Fit Bud to track my 10,000 steps per day.
Last week I mentioned my system for capturing my writing ideas. It’s as low (no) tech as you can get, but it works for me: https://danalaquidara.com/2023/06/05/minimal-monday-59/. My index card box is filling up with thoughts for my next book which I am excited to share with you soon!
Systems may sound restrictive, but they really are quite the opposite. The more systems I put in place, the more eager I am to add more. They help me gain momentum, stick to my healthy habits, and do things I know I want to do. They help to free me from my more lazy, directionless self.
What is one system you’d like to implement in your life? Are there any you no longer find useful?
Happy Monday!
