Minimal Monday

Recently, I wrote about how having systems in our everyday lives makes it easier to stick to the habits we choose https://danalaquidara.com/2023/06/12/minimal-monday-60/. Over the weekend, it occurred to me that for the sake of health and energy and clarity of mind, I needed a better lunch system. So I spent a couple hours preparing ingredients for Buddha bowls that can now be easily put together throughout the week (I would go into more detail, but then this post would no longer be minimal. Besides, if interested, you can google recipes for buddha bowls and sauces and find more options than you can ever use!)

If I never faced a problem, or had to make a tough decision, or needed a flash of insight, then I suppose I wouldn’t mind having a murky mind. But clarity of mind is something I value greatly, and there is no denying that the food we eat has a significant affect on this. I equate clarity of mind with clearer intuition too. (By now we’ve all heard about the brain-gut relationship.)

There are a lot of unknowns in this world, and plenty of things that we have no control over. When I felt the pull to clean up my lunch act, I was grateful for the direction. Sometimes the simplest of things are the next right thing to do. When the big stuff is overwhelming me, I want all the clarity I can get.
