When I recall the things that soothed me as a child and teen, I remember a day at the ocean, a walk in the woods, running, biking. Being outdoors, exercise, and sunshine are still key ways that I come back to my senses, listening with my whole body. I love how these things can take us out of our head, while simultaneously elevating our brain. The more of that I have, the more I want. I feel something at my core making its way through the clutter of life, guiding me back to myself, to presence.
