Minimal Monday

Last week I wrote a bit about creativity as a way to shine light in darkness: https://danalaquidara.com/2023/10/16/minimal-monday-72/

This week I want to borrow and share two more thoughts on creativity from author and teacher Marion Roach Smith:

#1. When creating, be hospitable. Whether you have fifteen minutes or five hours, invite the muse in with an organized space, your favorite tea, or whatever else signals your brain that you are ready to dive deep into the work (or play!)

Being hospitable to my creativity is something that I have been doing for a long time now. It is clear to me how the clearer I am (in mind, body and physical surroundings), the better the creative flow. I love this whole concept because it really applies to all of life. The more clearly we are aligned with the flow of Life, a divine energy, the better we feel and the better everything works.

And this brings me to #2 Creativity is a privilege. I find that when I direct my thoughts toward I get to do this, my writing sessions are fueled with peace and gratitude, two feelings that align me with the flow of Life.

Happy Monday!
